Coolidge was announced last weekend as the winner of the title of "Woman of the Year" by Harvard University's long-standing and well-known "Hasty Pudding" Theatricals, which awards the honorary title every year since 1951 to men and women who have made their mark in the world of culture and entertainment.

Coolidge (61), who, as mentioned, this year is receiving the recognition she has been waiting for for years in which she starred mainly in supporting roles (and has already managed to pick up, among other things, the prestigious Emmy and Golden Globe awards for her unforgettable role in the HBO hit series "The White Lotus"), took part In the unique ceremony - which included a parade she led through the streets of Cambridge - where thousands marched and cheered her despite the freezing weather.

"It was fun. I'm having a blast," said the actress (who is now, for the first time in her career, considered appreciated) before she was presented with the award.

"I got to meet young students who are much smarter than me," she joked.

Later in the ceremony, which included, as is tradition, a line of jokes about Coolidge, the revered actress became emotional as she sadly recalled her late father, who she said would have loved to have been present for the defining moment.

"I am so thrilled by this experience that is happening to me," she shared excitedly.

"I didn't see it coming. It beats any series or movie I've taken part in. My father was a student here, so were his brothers. How I would like it to be here. It's really a big event for me," she shared her feelings.
